APARTMENT 54

Location: Amsterdam, NL
Photography: Marieke Verdenius

This apartment in Amsterdam shows how a small living space can become a home, with room for everything you want and need.

The design of this apartment involved breaking through walls to create an open space in the living room for enhanced comfort. Removing the wall between the kitchen and living room now allows for a connection between these two spaces, incorporating the dining area.

The natural light in the living room enhances the soft and hard edges and the more organic lines.

In contrast, the bedroom with a walk-in closet is soft, warm and with calm colors. Which makes it the place where you can reset. The cocoon effect in the bedroom contrasts well with the open and social living environment.

The bathroom, with its soft, dim lighting and textured walls, is a special place that gives you a wellness feeling as soon as you step inside.
